WE FORGOT
An interactive performance with video
Sharon Paz is a visual artist, born in 1969, Israel, received a MFA from Hunter College. She now lives and works in Berlin. Paz combine unique video images and live performance, the language she uses is of multi layers, shadows, black silhouettes and images, creating a moving collage. She uses the her own biography in relation to history and work on the border between the public and the private, her works are telling a story which is visual, non linear and fragmented, they challenge the audience and the conventions of theater, breaking the normal viewing conventions. Her production was shown in Sophiensaele and Dock11, Berlin, FFT Düsseldorf and studiobühneköln and Akko Festival, Israel. Paz exhibited extensively in Weserburg Museum für moderne Kunst, Bremen, Germany, Smack Mellon in NYC, The Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai, China, and the Herzlyia Museum of Art and Petach-Tikva museum of Art in Israel. In the past her work was supported by the Senate of Cultural Affairs and Hauptstadtkulturfonds, Berlin, The Fund for Video Art and Experimental Cinema, CCA Tel- Aviv, Goethe Institute, The Rabinovich Foundation and the Lottery Art Council in Israel. Her video works are part of the collection of Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Video-Forum Collection, Berlin and The Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Her work has been screened in numerous festivals and galleries such as Thomas Erben Gallery and Art in General in New York City; Transmediale 11 in Berlin.

cultura e.V. was founded in Hildesheim in 1997, the organization is run by five members who invite for each project other artist to collaborate with, they together produces site-specific cultural events in various urban spaces such as: the harbor, parking garage, store, swimming pool. They combine performances, theater and moving images. cultura studied and explored inter subjective current life-metaphors: The productions are made mainly in Hildesheim and the Saxony area and include “FeedMe” (2013), ”AnSurm” (2011), “Freitag ist kein Kinotag“ (2008), “to go” (2006), “war in progress” (2005), “under standing cars“(2004), “Under Construction“ (2003), “Mobile/Home“(2002). cultura is supported by The Lower Saxony Ministry for Science and Culture, the Foundation of Lower Saxony and the Sparkasse Hildesheim.
