Video Installation

“PARALYZED MOVEMENT” is a video installation that deals physically with depth and perception of depth in relation to surface, the video is made of layers that part of them are flat silhouetted shadows and part is a photographed image with depth, the video will be projected in a three dimensional built box that will have a cut out flat surface which create additional shadows into the moving image. The viewer can physically enter the installation and create more shadows with his/her body

In the center of the work a conductor is placed in a destroyed space, manipulating the sounds of missiles and guns shots into a war composition. Restless shadows are running in and out, chaos is created by the sound and is being conducted playfully. The video work is a collage of moving and still images; the movements are staged and placed on top of a background photo taken from reality.
